Description	First proposal for a circuit/airport was made by surveyor Enzo Dalaiti in 1949, then a second one (a variation of the first one) and an anonymous working plan were proposed maybe by the same Delaiti. Difference between three proposals were about runway and facilities position. 1st Gran Premio di Modena (Formula 2) was raced on May 7th 1950 and probably it was the inaugural race. This track was used for car and motorbike races, as proving ground (i.e. by Ferrari and Maserati) and as airport; besides it was used aldo by the army of the adjacent barracks of 6th Campale. Of course this situatsion caused a lots of problems. In 1960s, circuit was slighlty modified, but I have no more info. At the end of 1960s the track was inadequate and a new alternativa was searched. A new circuit was proposed at Marzaglia, but after many controversies the proposal was abandoned for many years. By that time, Ferrari has many problems in testing his cars, so he solved his problem building a proving ground at Fiorano, opened in 1972. In 1970s Aerautodromo was used very few times. IIRC, official closing was in Spring 1979. Later the circuit was demolished and in it was replaced Enzo Ferrari Park

Location	Aerautodromo (car track and airport), at that time in Modena suburb (Emilia Romagna). Adjacent streets are Via Emilia Ovest, Via Formigina (later Viale dell’Autodromo) and Strada San Faustino. Today on the circuit area there is Enzo Ferrari Park and track layout has been completely canceled
